How We Help
We receive generous donations and partner with the community to provide vital resources such as food and supplies, ensuring that no Veteran or their family goes hungry.
Our spiritual healing and counseling programs offer emotional, guidance and support, helping veterans find peace and resilience.
Additionally, we use donated funds and volunteer labor to assist with construction needs, including roof repairs, general home improvements, landscape maintenance, and trash removal, ensuring safe and comfortable living conditions. Through community collaboration and your generous contributions, we make a meaningful impact in the lives of those who have served our country.

Our Founder
Hank Whittier, a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, founded Veterans and Families Services in 2001. Driven by a passion for supporting fellow Veterans, he established VAFS to provide comprehensive services to aid the well being of the Veterans in our community.
Under his leadership, the organization has grown into a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Hank's dedication has profoundly impacted Veterans' lives, helping them regain independence and dignity.

Our Partners
We provide Veterans and their families with social service contacts for counseling, referrals, advocacy, and direct social service assistance. This includes food and limited financial assistance for such items such as rent, utilities, and special dietary needs.
Ruach Life Inc.
We provide practical guidance and resources aimed at facilitating transformed lives characterized by lasting peace and love. Our mission encompasses all aspects of well-being, including spiritual, emotional, and physical dimensions.
